Privacy Policy

PocketPA is built to keep your information on your phone. There is no account, no server of ours, and no tracking. This policy explains what that means in practice.
The short version
Everything you put into PocketPA — what you say, your tasks, and the times your calendar is busy — is processed on your device. We do not run servers that receive your content, we do not sell or share your data, and we do not track you across apps or the web.
Information we collect
We do not collect your personal content. Your captures, tasks, schedule and voice are created and stored on your iPhone and are not transmitted to us. We have no account system, so we never receive a name, email address or password from you.
Because there is no backend of ours, we also have no analytics servers, no advertising identifiers (no IDFA), and no third-party tracking SDKs in the app.
What happens on your device
- Understanding what you say. Task extraction runs on-device using Apple's on-device models. Your text and voice are not sent to us or to a third-party AI service.
- Voice capture. Speech is transcribed on-device using Apple's speech framework. Audio is not uploaded to us.
- Calendar. With your permission, PocketPA reads your calendars locally (via Apple's EventKit) only to find free time. This is read on your device; it is not copied to us.
- Scheduling & briefing. Planning is done by a deterministic on-device engine. Nothing about your day is sent off the phone by us.
Apple services PocketPA relies on
PocketPA is an Apple-native app and uses Apple's own services, which are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy:
- On-device AI & speech models. The first time these features are used, the models may be downloaded from Apple to your device.
- iCloud (trial status). To keep your free-trial period fair across reinstalls, a first-launch date is stored in your private iCloud key-value store. It is tied to your Apple ID; we cannot read it.
- iCloud sync (Pro). If you turn on sync, your PocketPA data syncs through your own private iCloud (Apple CloudKit). It stays in your Apple account — we have no access to it.
- Purchases (StoreKit). Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Apple processes your payment and we never see your card or full billing details.
Permissions
PocketPA asks only for what a given feature needs, and each is optional:
- Microphone & speech recognition — to capture what you say. Used on-device.
- Calendars — to see busy time and, on Pro, to write PocketPA's own sessions into a dedicated "PocketPA" calendar. Your existing events are never modified.
- Notifications — for session reminders and the optional morning briefing.
Data retention & deletion
Your data lives on your device for as long as the app is installed. To remove it, delete the app. If you use iCloud sync, you can remove that data from your Apple ID via your device's iCloud settings.
Children
PocketPA is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age required by your local App Store.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves — for example, when iCloud sync ships. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
